Customizable Asus ZenWatch 2 Revealed

ZenWatch 2 is what the Taiwanese company called "a precision watch," which pairs with Android devices to bring notifications and services to your wrist.

Taking its cues from the original ZenWatch, the successor promises a more refined design, an improved user experience, additional functionality, and a magnetic charger for faster battery boosting.

There's also a range of customization options, and the ZenWatch 2 comes with an application that lets the wearer design their own watch face via the Watch Face Land app.

Asus will offer the ZenWatch 2 with a 22mm or 18mm strap in rubber, leather, or metal. The rubber straps come in blue, orange, red, or taupe; get a leather one in khaki, brown, gray, blue, or orange; or select metal in silver, gunmetal, or rose gold.

For some extra bling, you can splurge on Asus's leather strap with an embossed diamond pattern, accented with Swarovski crystals.

The smartwatch runs a Qualcomm processor and sports a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 AMOLED display.

There's also an enhanced Remote Camera, which lets wearers display their smartphone's camera viewfinder on their wrist, which could work for overhead concert shots and group photos, for example.

Designed to be worn all day, every day-even in the shower or during exercise-the ZenWatch 2 also serves as an activity tracker and health-and-wellness manager.

Pricing and availability have not been revealed.
